About Workingman’s Store

Everything you’re looking for!

The Total Image & Workingman’s Store

The Workingman’s Store originated in 1936 as a small shop in Old Town Winchester.  They catered to the workingman, and built a reputation for carrying quality name brand work clothing and boots at competitive prices. As business grew, they moved to their present location on Boscawen St. and expanded to include a large assortment of ladies, men’s, children’s, big and tall apparel, jeans, and boots in both casual and western styles.  With a new image, they decided to change the name to Total Image but customers continued to call them Workingman’s, so today they go by The Total Image and Workingman’s Store.

Locally owned, it has been in the Ambrogi family for over 40 years. Today, Debbie runs the business along with her long time and dedicated work family that she attributes to their continued success.  Jo Ellen has been with them 30 plus years, Rachael over 20 years, Autumn over 9 years, and Richie worked 2 years in high school, and then rejoined them 5 years ago. And Pati, who worked for Mr. Ambrogi when he bought the business, and continues to help each Christmas!
